My Story

Creative. Experienced. Passionate. Collaborative. Silly.

I began my improv education at the beardless age of 14 and by the next year, I became a member of an improv team where I performed weekly for many years. I also was a member of the Children's Theater of Charlotte's teen ensemble company, which shaped my worth ethic and drive to be an artist.

I went off to Marymount Manhattan College in New York City, where I graduated with a BFA in Acting. While at Marymount, I honed my skills as a performer and director. I was also president and instructor of the college improv troupe.

Since graduating, I have worked with many great theatre companies such as The Pearl and The American Globe in NYC and the Children's Theater of Charlotte, Actor's Theater of Charlotte, and Donna Scott Productions here in NC.

While still in NYC, I studied improv at the famous People’s Improv Theater (The PIT). I was a member of The PIT House Teams, Barcelona ’92 and Classic Anne.  I also performed with The Baldwins, The Scene, Ali & Friends, and Rothwell & Hodapp. I also co-created and starred in The Two-Night Show with Kevin Shimko & Luke Ward.

I co-founded the Comedy Arts Theater of Charlotte (CATCh) alongside Abigail Head. I serve as the Artistic Director, improv instructor, and team building/corporate training facilitator.  You can see him perform regularly with Soggy Naan, The Fungibles, Descripted, and the Faculty Office Hours Show. I also coach the improv teams, Professional Strangers, Betsy's Had Enough, and Tertiary Characters

Outside of the arts world, I have worked as a Development Coach with AvidXchange, Inc. here in Charlotte where I helped corporate professionals with their personal and professional goals. I was recently promoted to a Learning & Development Specialist. I know spend my 9-5 focused on creating and facilitating trainings.

My passion for adult learning has been the constant in my life in my artistic and professional endeavors. After receiving some amazing coaching training with my Development Coaching role, I realized that I wanted to offer creativity coaching which led me to starting YESDANDbox.

I believe that everyone has, within them, a world of creative and artistic potential. I'm so excited to get in the sandbox with you and play a small part in your journey! Head on over to the coaching page for more info and to schedule a free consult!
